Swawlamban is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Ranchi, Jharkhand, established in 2003 with a mission to uplift underprivileged and marginalized communities. The organization focuses on empowering women, youth, children, and socially disadvantaged groups including SC/ST/OBC/EBC and differently-abled individuals through skill development and livelihood initiatives.
With the support of government bodies and local resources, Swawlamban conducts a wide range of vocational training programs such as bamboo craft, handloom, tailoring, beautician, fashion designing, agriculture, animal farming, and food processing...

The Smile Yojna initiative focuses on supporting poor, helpless, and marginalized individuals by connecting them with healthcare, rehabilitation, social welfare schemes, and livelihood opportunities.

Our programs are designed for deprived target groups, especially children, adolescents, and women. We also focus on the betterment of ST/SC/OBC/EBC persons and disabled or handicapped individuals.
Yes, all our vocational and skill development trainings—including Fine Art, Tailoring, Bamboo Craft, and Hotel Management—are provided free of cost to the beneficiaries[cite: 139, 149, 188, 198]. We also provide free training kits and raw materials.
After training, beneficiaries become self-employed or wage-employed, with monthly earnings typically ranging from ₹6,000 to ₹12,000 per capita, depending on the specific trade like Silk craft or Hotel Management.
